    I am a new member of Edge Health Club, around 2 months, and wanted to give you some feedback from my experience.
    
    I am a mother of a very active 2 year old; I work as an Event Manager 4 days a week and another 2 days from home. My husband is a shift worker in the forces so I never know when he will be home or at work so trying to fit in even an hour a day for myself is near impossible let alone time to get to the Gym.

    Since having a child and not being able to find time to exercise, I have not been able to move any weight or body fat and my wardrobe seemed to be shrinking and shrinking. My mental health has always been an issue and I desperatly needed to do somthing about it. One afternoon after driving out of McDonalds drive through, I looked accross the road at the newly refurbished Health Club at a group of women about my age (late 30's) walking out after a class or work-out. I parked the car and went in the doors of the gym and was greeted by a friendly smile and a warm welcome.

    Billy showed me around the Gym and the childcare areas and he asked me what I wanted to achieve. He assured me what I wanted was achievable (which was to have my clothes fit me again, tone up a bit, to have more energy and to reduce my stress levels). He suggested that if I could find 3 times a week to get to the gym and change my eating habbits a little that I would start to see results quickly. I signed up and was booked in the next day for an assessment.

    I came back the next day nervous and wondering what I had gotten myself into. Billy weighed me and measured me and we had a chat about my eating habbits, then he set me a weights and cardio program. I was surprised how easy the program he set me was but I was totally in his hands. I did everything he told me to do including changing my eating habbits a little bit and I have no idea how I make it 3-4 times a week but I do. I love it and I'm addicted! I even get into the Body Ballance class when I can and I have started to develop some coordination and ballance.

    I have never exercised in my life and in the short amount of time that I have been going to Edge I have had results. I had another appointment with Billy a few weeks later and what I have achieved is unbelievable. It was never about how much I weighed but how my clothes fit and my mental health. Since starting at Edge and seeing  results I would recomend to anybody who thinks they cant do it or don't have the time to just start immediatly and you will! It is the best money I have ever spent and it has become part of my week to pop down to the gym for an hour when I can, and feel so wonderful after doing it. I dont know the medical effects that exercising have on your mental health but I seem to handle stress better, I think more clearly, I sleep better at night and I in turn achieve more in my days and I am sure it is because I make the time to do something good for myself and I am seeing and feeling the benefits.

    Thank you so much for making this achievable. Without your guidance I would not be feeling as I do now.

    My name is Joe and I have been with the Club since November 2007. Before I joined the gym I was unable to bend or move easily and the weight I was carrying made it difficult to do normal day to day tasks. 

    In that time, with Billy's help and encouragment, I have lost 14kg and 16cm from around my waist. I have lots more energy and enthusiasm and look forward to the time I spend at the Club. I also participated in the City2Surf, something that I would have never concidered possible this time last year.

I've been a member of Edge since July '08, here is my story:

    I had been thinking about my fitness and diet as earlier in the year a good friend (around the same age as myself) died from a heart attack.

    In July I was offered a 7 day trial at Edge in Weston, I said yes and made an appointment. I rolled up on the day and was shown around by friendly staff. Having made the initial effort, I thought 'yes,I must really give this a go!'

    I was so happy after going for a couple of days, I didn't wait for the trial to end. I joined Edge and decided to go with a Results Program, firstly because I didn't know how to use all the available equipment and secondly its great to have your own Personal Coach - someone to talk to, to push you that little bit harder and to tell you your doing alright.

    Sure I've only been a member for a short time (around 4 months) but I've already lost over 10kg, I'm as fit as I've ever been and I feel good about myself. Its the best thing I've commited to in 20 years, because thats how I feel - 20 years younger.

    Join, you wont regret it!

    I've been a member of 'Edge Weston' for four months now and have been thrilled with the results I've achieved already. I love all the classes, especially Pump, Boxfit, Circuit and Abs which I attend every week. I also train with the wonderfull Emma (Personal Trainer) every fortnight.

    Edge has a wonderfull community feel about it. I workout alongside friends, neighbours and school mums - its like my social club! So far I've lost 33cm and have so much energy (which I need being the mother of 4 busy boys).

    Billy, Emma and staff keep me motivated and with their encouragment I've hit huge strides with my fitness.

Peter Cullen    Feb 09'      (age 81)

     I am a life long asthmatic, and have only 25% lung capacity. As a result I am only able to perform limited tasks. For the past 9 months I have have been attending regular exercise clinics - first at the Canberra Hospital, and for the last 6 months at Edge Health Club in Weston, which is very convenient and an easy transition.

     During that time, my capacity to perform the various exercises has improved by at least 20%. I put this down to the fact I perform the exercises regularly on the vast array of equipment in the centre, and are given guidance and encouragement from Billy and Emma, wonderfully helpfull staff members.

     As a result I feel infinitely better than I did 12 months ago and am confident that I can maintain and improve my health level.
